CHARDON, Ohio - Attorneys for Chardon High School shooting suspect TJ Lane filed a motion to have the trial moved out of Geauga County.
Bailiff Cindy DeMarco with Geauga County Common Pleas Judge Fuhry said the change of venue motion was filed Friday.
Lane is accused of shooting six students at the school on Feb. 27, leaving three dead and one paralyzed. Two others were wounded in the attack.
On Aug. 8, Lane's attorneys requested a time extension to analyze their client's mental state.
Lane was charged with three counts of aggravated murder, two counts of attempted aggravated murder and one count of felonious assault.
His next hearing is scheduled for Aug. 20 at 10 a.m.
