CHARDON, Ohio - The suspect in a shooting rampage at Chardon High School earlier this year has been ordered to be transferred to an adult detention facility.
According to an order from Geauga County Common Pleas Judge David Fuhry, 17-year-old TJ Lane will be moved to the Geauga County Safety Center on Monday, Sept. 24. He turns 18 on Sept. 19.
The request to the judge was made by the Portage-Geauga Detention Center, which is where he has been held since his arrest.
Lane is accused of killing three students and injuring two others during a shooting at the school in February. The motive for the shooting still has not been revealed in the case.
