Boil alert lifted for Village of Burton

BURTON, Ohio - The Village of Burton is no longer under a boil alert, according to the Geauga County Sheriff's Office.
Burton Village has repaired the water leak. The EPA has determined the water is safe.
A water main break on State Route 87 in front of the ODOT garage was discovered just after 4:30 p.m Monday.
NewsChannel5 checked just after 2 a.m. Tuesday and the road had been reopened and the break appeared to have been fixed.
