AUBURN TOWNSHIP, Ohio - A boat overturned Thursday morning at the LaDue reservoir in Geauga County.
Firefighters said two people were tossed in to the water, but they made their way to safety as crews arrived at the scene.
Firefighters said the victims were not hurt, but were in the water for about 30 minutes before being rescued. A state trooper was in the area and threw the victims a rope to help get them to safety.
The Ohio Department of Natural Resource, Auburn Township Fire Department and the Geauga County Sheriff’s Department are trying to determine what caused the boat to overturn.
