MONTVILLE TWP., Ohio - Montville police are still searching for the second suspect connected to an armed robbery late August at Buehler’s grocery store.
Police received tips from the public that helped them arrest Kevin Lamont Tate Jr., of Parma. Police said Tate drove the getaway vehicle.
Willie George McCoy, 19, of Cleveland, is still at large and police suspect he is in the Cleveland area.
On Monday Aug. 26, Montville police posted surveillance video and still images of the suspect to their social media sites. The original video post on Facebook had more than 85,000 views and nearly 900 shares. Within hours, police began receiving tips that led detectives to eventually identify Tate and McCoy as the suspects.
McCoy is the man seen in the surveillance photos walking through the aisles of the grocery store before approaching the victim at gunpoint in the parking lot.
McCoy is also a suspect in an armed robbery and attempted murder in Cleveland Heights.
