SANDUSKY, Ohio - A mother who allegedly duct-taped two children has been charged with child endangering, according to Sandusky police.

Police said they initially received the complaint about 31-year-old Tiffany Ennis from the father of her son Monday. He told them he received a picture text message of their son’s eyes and mouth covered with duct tape.

The father told police he texted Ennis back saying it wasn’t funny but she responded that it was and the boy also agreed.

Ennis told officers she was playing around with duct tape with her friend and their kids, putting it over her son’s face because they both thought it was funny.

Police said Ennis explained her son wasn’t injured, the act wasn’t meant to be hurtful and they were joking around.

Officers forwarded to the case to Erie County Children Services. The next day, the reporting officer said they learned Ennis duct taped the eyes, head and mouth of both her son and another child.

Ennis was charged with two counts of Child Endangering.
