SANDUSKY, Ohio - A suspect is in custody in the deaths of a Sandusky mother and her two young children over the weekend.
Sandusky Police Lt. John Orzeck said 41-year-old Curtis Clinton has been charged with three counts of aggravated murder for allegedly killing 23-year-old Heather Jackson, her 3-year-old girl and 18-month-old boy.
Police said the scene was gruesome when they arrived at the home on John Street. The small victims' bodies were found inside a closet.
The mother had been stuffed between a mattress and box spring.
There is speculation that Jackson had been strangled; however, police have not received confirmation of cause of death from the coroner.
Sandusky police will hold a 3:30 news conference Monday afternoon announcing charges. Keep checking newsnet5.com for more information.
