SANDUSKY, Ohio - The WindSeeker ride at Cedar Point, that malfunctioned over the weekend stranding riders 150 feet in the air, is up and running again.
For more than an hour Saturday, 29 people were stuck on the amusement park ride, suspended in the air until employees could bring the WindSeeker back to the ground.
Cedar Point spokesman Bryan Edwards said the ride unexpectedly stopped, but the carriage was manually brought down the tower by park workers.
All riders safely got out of their chair swings and none required medical attention.
A person at the amusement park, who is also a designer for a ride manufacturer, said riders "became frightened" and it appeared the carriage snagged electrical conduit and caused severe electrical damage.
But it's still unclear what exactly caused the malfunction.
Taking a seat on the WindSeeker will swing you 301 feet into the sky.
