CLEVELAND - Parents worry about their children no matter how old they are or where they are living.
WMJI’s John Lanigan got a scare Friday morning when he learned his son’s connection to the Colorado theater shooting.
Aurora Police Lt. Jad Lanigan was part of the team that arrested 24-year-old James Holmes outside the movie theater.
Twelve people were killed and at least 59 others were hurt while watching the midnight showing of the Batman movie “The Dark Knight Rises.”
Lanigan said on his radio show that he had gotten a text from his wife who said that she had been watching coverage from Denver and thought she had heard Jad’s voice. So Lanigan texted his son, “Did you arrest suspect?” and he replied with one word, “Yes.”
Lanigan declined to be interviewed by NewsChannel5.
He said on his radio show, “It’s scary when you think about it’s your son.”
