GARFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio - Garfield Heights police are investigating after a teen was shot in the head Tuesday night.

The shooting happened on South Parkway Drive just after 8 p.m., but officers pulled a bullet from the front window of a house in the 4300 block of East 131st Street.

Garfield Heights police said a 15-year-old boy and 20-year-old were walking near East 131st and Parkway when a vehicle drove up to them, then an unknown number of people got out and fired three to six rounds of shots.

Police said the 20-year-old ran and the victim, the 15-year-old, was shot in the head. Emergency workers took the teen to Marymount Hospital, then a medical helicopter transported him to MetroHealth Medical Center. His condition is not known at this time.

Witnesses at the scene told our photographer that the boy was being chased.
