WESTLAKE, Ohio - A Westlake man was arrested after crashing his car, biting a nurse’s finger and spitting blood at police.
Christopher Warner, 22, hit the wall of a bar on Center Ridge Road at about 1:21 a.m. on Friday and left the scene, Westlake Police Cpt. Guy Turner said. He was arrested at his home nearby for operating a vehicle under the influence and hit-skip, but that was just the beginning.
Police said Warner struggled with officers and “threatened to rape their female relatives.” He passed out and was taken to St. John Medical Center.
That’s where he bit a nurse, breaking her finger, Turner said. Warner also threatened the medical staff’s relatives, saying he would kill or eat them. He ripped the IV from his arm and spit blood at officers and hospital staff, Turner said.
He was placed in restraints and was kept for medical observation at the hospital.
Warner was cited for driving under suspension. Turner said they are also getting felony warrants for assault because of the nurse’s injuries. He was arrested in March by Westlake police for OVI.
