WESTLAKE, Ohio - A Westlake husband is behind bars for allegedly nailing a door shut so his wife couldn't leave their home.
David Huffman, 55, was arrested on Dec. 3 after officers received a call about a domestic violence incident.
When officers arrived to the couple's Columbia Road home, the found the door nailed shut and Huffman's wife inside the house.
Authorities said Huffman didn't comply with them at the scene and that he tried kicking and hitting all three officers.
Huffman has been charged with domestic violence, resisting arrest, simple assault on a police officer and unlawful restraint. He was taken to the Westlake Jail and will be arraigned in Rocky River Municipal Court on Dec. 12 at 9 a.m.
