NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio - A new movie theater and three new restaurants are coming this year to Great Northern's Westfield Great Northern mall in North Olmsted. The additions will go in where the former food court was, between JCPenney and Sears.
Officials said the movie theater will be a 10-screen Regal Cinema and so far, one restaurant has signed on. Mama Fu's Asian House will offer Asian-inspired dishes, and will open shortly ahead of the cinema in December. More restaurants will be named later this year.
The expansion also includes a grand new main mall entrance near the new theater and restaurants. The entire project will be completed before 2014.
“Answering the community’s request to bring movies back to the Great Northern retail district is rewarding,” said Mike Walsh, the center’s general manager in a news release. “We are dedicated to exceeding our customers’ expectations and the new Regal Cinemas, coupled with restaurants that are unique to the area, will allow us to deliver the best shopping, dining and entertainment experience available to our shoppers.”
