BROOKLYN, Ohio - The 911 call made by a woman about her angry husband minutes before police said he shot and killed her, a 10-year-old and critically injured another girl at a Brooklyn restaurant has been released.
The 3:34 call was made by Katherina (Kate) Allen at 8:40 from the Cracker Barrel restaurant on Tiedeman Road. She told the dispatcher she needed an officer to come to there because her husband, 51-year-old Kevin Allen, was circling the building.
She said the two went to the restaurant together, but had driven separate cars.
“I told him I was leaving him, and he… he had, he went outside or whatever, he was circling the restaurant,” said Kate Allen to the dispatcher.
She said she was not planning to go home.
The dispatcher then asked about whether Kevin Allen owned any weapons.
DISPATCHER: “Does he have any weapons on him that you know of, or own any that you know of?”
KATE: “I know I saw some shotgun shells. He had a shotgun, but he told me he got rid of it.”
Kate Allen went on to say she saw the shells on him.

She then said Kevin Allen was calling his daughter’s cellphone, and she tried to talk with him while also on the phone with the dispatcher.
At 3:21 into the call, Kate Allen told the dispatcher the police arrived at the restaurant.
“Wait in the lobby for the officers, do not go outside. Let them talk with him. OK? Mam?
Some yelling is then heard before the phone disconnected.
Police said Kevin Allen then entered the restaurant with a long gun and selectively fired it at close range, killing 42-year-old Kate Allen, and Kerri Allen, who was killed on her 10th birthday. Another girl, 10-year-old Kayla Allen, was critically injured after being shot. Police said the two girls are believed to be Kevin and Kate’s daughters.
Officers then ordered Kevin Allen to surrender. When he didn’t comply, according to police, they shot and killed him.
An employee at Cracker Barrel also called 911, saying there was a man with a shotgun in the store who fired eight shots.
