BAY VILLAGE, Ohio - A federal administrative law judge was arrested over the weekend for allegedly driving drunk in Bay Village.
A caller stuck behind U.S. Administrative Law Judge Michael Bartko called Bay Village police to alert them of the "obvious" drunk driver around 12:48 a.m. Sunday.
"We are stuck on Lake Road behind an obvious drunk driver. He's swerving all over the place, going between 25 and 35 miles per hour. He's going to get into an accident," the caller told the 911 dispatcher.
After providing cross street details to the dispatcher, who sent police to the area, the caller became slightly frustrated by the slow speed.
Caller: "Now he's going 10 miles per hour, crossing the double yellow line."
Dispatcher: "It's better he's going slowly."
Caller: "Well...he's crossing the double yellow line, going between 10 and 40 miles per hour."
Bartko's attorney entered a written plea of not guilty on his client's behalf Tuesday in Rocky River Municipal Court.
Bartko has been charged with a super OVI, because his blood alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit, stopping in traffic/slow speed and more.
The next court date for Bartko has not been set.
