GARFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio - Garfield Heights Police are investigating a double stabbing that left one man dead and another injured late Wednesday night.
According to police, just after 10 p.m. they received a call for a fight outside a home in the 13700 block of Alvin Avenue.
When police arrived, officers found two men who were stabbed. Emergency crews rushed one male to Marymount Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The second male was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center where he was treated and released.
Garfield Heights police said that they do have one man in custody in connection with the stabbing.
Agents from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation were processing the evidence inside and outside the home early Thursday morning.
The victim was identified as 48-year-old Vincent Brown, of Cleveland, the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's office said.
