WESTLAKE, Ohio - The North Ridgeville man accused of entering a Westlake movie theater with a bag of weapons will go on trial in January.
Scott Smith will be tried in Cuyahoga County beginning Jan. 16.
Smith was arrested at a showing of “The Dark Knight Rises” at the Regal Cinemas at Crocker Park on Aug. 4 after a police officer searched his bag and found a loaded gun, several magazines and hunting knives.
In October, Smith was found mentally competent to stand trial.
The 37-year-old is facing two concealed weapon counts and one of having a weapon under disability.
