CLEVELAND - A woman nicknamed the “cleaning fairy burglar” after allegedly breaking into a Westlake home had her first court hearing Thursday.
A judge arraigned 53-year-old Susan Warren in a Cuyahoga County courtroom via video conference and set her bond at $5,000 cash. She was told to have no contact with victims.
According to police, Warren broke into a house on Dover Center Road last week and left a $75 bill for the housework she did. Officers said she was inside while the homeowner slept.
The bill was apparently written on a napkin, police said.
When the homeowner woke up, she said she found the note and several items out of place – but nothing was missing.
Investigators later called the woman, who police said became irate and hung up, but not before yelling that she "does this all the time."
Warren was arrested Tuesday night during a traffic stop in Elyria.
Her next hearing is set for June 7 at 10:30 a.m.
