ROCKY RIVER, Ohio - The man accused of killing one and injuring another during a shooting in Rocky River Tuesday night turned himself into police.
Police said Donovan Owens, 21, was the shooter during the homicide on Westway Drive near Wagar Road.
The incident left 39-year-old Michael Macgillis Jr. dead and 43-year-old Andrew Geraci injured. Geraci was hospitalized with three gunshot wounds, police said.
Owens turned himself over at about 6:30 p.m. Thursday, according to Rocky River police.
Officers tried to serve an arrest warrant for him with SWAT members on Wednesday. Owens was not at his house on Auburn Avenue in Cleveland at the time.
“We believe this is an isolated incident. We don't have an active shooter, someone terrorizing the neighborhood,” said Rocky River Police Chief Kelly Stillman in the wake of the shooting.
