SOLON, Ohio - A standoff has ended after the suspect was not inside his home on Liberty Road, according to authorities.
A federal arrest warrant has been issued for Alex Spirikaitis for false credit institution entries. Solon police went to arrest him Tuesday night but said he barricaded himself inside of his home on Liberty Road.
The standoff was ongoing from 8 p.m. until just before noon Wednesday, when authorities found no one inside the home.
Spirikaitis is described as 5 foot 11, approximately 225 pounds, green eyes and bald. He is known to wear a goatee, as depicted in the photo, though his facial hair may have changed.
The FBI said Spirikaitis was the CEO of Taupa Lithuanian Credit Union on East 185th in Cleveland, which was shut down by the NCUA (National Credit Union Association) on Friday due to fraud.
Tips regarding Spirikaitis can be provided to the Cleveland office of the FBI at 216-522-1400. Tips can remain anonymous.
Reward money is available for information leading to the successful apprehension and prosecution of Spirikaitis.
