CLEVELAND - The lunch time crowd on East 4th Street was treated to some unique entertainment Wednesday. The Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Shaolin Troupe performed a martial arts display that left the people in awe.
They performed the ancient form of qigong pronounced "chee-gong." This martial arts form goes back 4,000 years. This Shaolin troupe has been trained by Shaolin monks in China. They started their training around the age of 4 or 5.
The troupe meditates for an hour a day to prepare themselves for the tremendous agility and strength that these routines require.
"They do some crazy stuff. They break things with their head, arms and legs," said Chao Yang interpreter for the group.
The Ringling Brothers are calling this show the Dragon. You can see the Greatest Show on Earth at Quicken Loans Arena through this Monday.
