STRONGSVILLE, Ohio - Several calls from NewsChannel5 viewers to our newsroom say the scene in Strongsville Sunday is close to a "war zone."

People passing by Strongsville City Hall are reporting that the teachers, who are preparing to vote on a strike Sunday night, are outside the building chanting, using profane language, and acting hostile toward the substitute teachers who are going into the building to fill out their paperwork to start working Monday in the event of a strike.

One person, who is not a teacher candidate, said they were just driving by to see what the commotion was all about and was scared away from the area by the unwelcoming mob of teachers.

We will keep you up to date on the latest in the Strongsville teachers strike on newsnet5.com and NewsChannel5 at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m.

The Strongsville City Schools Board of Education has posted both the BOE and teachers' current proposals here: http://www.strongnet.org/negotiationnews
