PARMA, Ohio - Some Parma residents were evacuated from their homes for a ruptured gas main Wednesday night, police said.

Snow Road between West 33 rd Street and State Road was closed for several hours.  The break happened right it front of the new Parma Fire House.

Parma police said Columbia Gas was working and ruptured the line, but repairs have been made.

Residents were moved to St. Francis on George Avenue, but returned to their homes shortly after 9 p.m.
