UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio - Police in Cuyahoga County are searching for two men believed to be involved in the theft of a $10,000 necklace from a department store.
The diamond and ruby necklace was taken from the Macy’s store in University Heights on Friday, Dec. 2 at about 8:30 p.m.
University Heights police are hoping someone can help identify the two men pictured in the surveillance photos released Friday.
According to investigators, the man wearing the varsity-style coat reached over an open display case and took the necklace, while the other man distracted employees.
Police said they believe the same men may have been involved in a similar crime in Parma last month.
Anyone with information about the thefts or men in the photos is asked to contact police at 216-932-1800.
