NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio - Residents have been let back into an apartment building that was evacuated due to a propane tank leak behind Waldo's Nursery in North Olmsted early Friday morning.
North Olmsted police said about 50 residents were evacuated from the Williamsburg Square Apartments on the 23000 block of Lorain Road, which is in close proximity to where the leak occurred. Some people went to a temporary shelter set up at the rec center, while others went to a coffee shop.
There is no longer a hazardous materials concern but firefighters remain at the scene testing levels to make sure the air is safe.
The intersection of Clague and Lorain Roads was briefly closed because of the incident.
