CLEVELAND - It takes more than candlelight, mood music and flowers to make a restaurant "romantic."

Now, great food and wine, service, and an authentic ambience round out the experience.

Travel + Leisure magazine recently published its list of America's most romantic restaurants and Pier W in Lakewood made the cut.

The magazine describes Pier W as a "one-of-a-kind establishment" and highlights the restaurant's views of Lake Erie and the city skyline as well as its menu of organic entrees and desserts.

The magazine features 39 restaurants from across the country including venues in New York City, Kauai, Las Vegas, Philadelphia and Chicago.

"I think it is great that our restaurant is in the same group as places like Hawaii, Napa Valley, Las Vegas, New York, San Diego and Key West," said Pier W General Manager Mark Kawada. "I think it just goes to show how great Cleveland is and how much Cleveland has to offer."
