PARMA, Ohio - Parma police chased a stolen car on Chevrolet Boulevard with three people inside until the driver crashed into a pole at Chevrolet Boulevard and Snow Road around 2 a.m.

According to Parma police, they spotted the stolen car at Brookpark Road and Chevrolet Boulevard and when they attempted to stop the car, the driver took off.

The chase went south on Chevrolet Boulevard until the driver tried to make a right turn onto Snow Road and crashed into a utility pole, traffic control box and stop light pole. The traffic control box was torn from the ground and thrown about 50 feet down a sidewalk.

All three people inside the car, an 18-year-old man and two juveniles were transported to MetroHealth Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

The traffic lights in the intersection are not working and Parma police didn’t know when they would be fixed.

First Energy crews were at the scene to repair the broken utility pole and remove downed wires from the sidewalk.

Police said treat the intersection as a four-way stop but that they may put an officer at the intersection to direct traffic during rush hour.
