ROCKY RIVER, Ohio - One person is dead and another seriously injured after the two were struck by a car on Interstate 90 early Sunday morning.
The crash happened on I-90 east at about 1:15 a.m. in Rocky River, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Antoinette Hamilton, 23, from Lorain died from her injuries.
David Latten, 42, also from Lorain, suffered serious injuries and was taken to MetroHealth Hospital. He is in critical condition as of Sunday morning.
Investigators said Hamilton and Latten were sitting in a car on the left shoulder of I-90 west near mile post 162.3.
Hamilton jumped out of the car, over the concrete highway divider and into the left lane of I-90 east. Latten followed.
At that time, a 1999 Chevy Cavalier traveling east on I-90 struck both victims.
The 19-year-old driver of the Cavalier and his three passengers did not suffer any injuries.
The highway patrol is investigating the crash.
