NORTH RIDGEVILLE - North Ridgeville police and residents are on high alert amid a rash of burglaries.
According to police, the area has experienced a high volume of both daytime and nighttime burglaries to homes.
During the day, the homes are unoccupied however, at night, the homes are filled with sleeping families.
At this time, North Ridgeville police are not sure if the incidents are connected, but using all of their available resources to investigate.
In one case, the suspect cut window screens to gain entry through unlocked or open windows and then stole purses or other easily grabbed items.
Authorities are asking residents to keep an eye out in their neighborhoods and have requested anyone with information to contact North Ridgeville police.
Officers also want residents to remember to “lock your windows and your doors and set your alarm if you have one.”
