PARMA, Ohio - What a way to celebrate a birthday.
As part of its 90th birthday, Cuyahoga County Public Library (CCPL) is asking the public to help celebrate the grand opening of the new Parma Branch on Saturday, Oct. 26, from noon to 3 p.m.
The new 43,000 square foot branch is located at 6996 Powers Blvd. across the street from Parma Community General Hospital.
The grand opening celebration will start at noon with a ribbon-cutting and feature family-friendly activities, including food for purchase, live music, free photo booths and commemorative library cards.
The new branch has many features including an eco-friendly building design, a full-service drive-up window, a Technology Learning Center, an interactive children's Play, Learn and Grow space and a state-of-the-art, interactive Tech Wall.
The new CCPL Parma Branch replaces the Parma-Ridge and Parma-South branches.
Following grand opening celebration, the new library will remain open Saturday to the public until 5:30 p.m.
