BRECKSVILLE, Ohio - A 17-year-old girl fell down a ravine in the Metroparks in Brecksville Tuesday evening, Cleveland Metroparks spokeswoman Dianna Kall said.
The teen was rock jumping in the ravine when she slipped and fell, Kall said. Rangers used ropes to rescue the girl, who was still conscious. She was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center, but her condition is unknown.
A NewsChannel5 photographer said it happened near the Route 82 entrance and Chippewa Creek. Signs in the area warn people not to go past the fence and that swimming is not permitted.
The Brecksville police and fire department helped in the rescue.
