PARMA, Ohio - Lovers of movies and the outdoors are in for a special treat as Parma mayor Tim DeGeeter will host the second Mayor's Movie Night Out on Saturday, July 20th at James Day Park in Parma.
Parma residents will be able to enjoy a free outdoor viewing of Dr. Seuss' "The Lorax" on a big screen set up on Soccer Fields 1 & 2.
Gates at the park will open at 7:30 p.m. with the movie scheduled to start at 9 p.m.
Movie-goers will be able to play cornhole and carnival games before the film begins. A concession stand will also be available.
"I encourage Parma residents to come out and enjoy the evening of fun and entertainment," said DeGeeter. "It's a free event that the whole family can participate in and enjoy. I am looking forward to bringing my family. We had a great response to it last year."
City officials encourage residents to bring blankets and lawn chairs.
The rain date for the event is July 27.
