MAPLE HEIGHTS, Ohio - Maple Heights police have issued a warrant for the arrest of a Glenwillow man they said murdered another over the weekend.
Kelvin Mathis Jr., 27, is wanted for the murder of Marlon Alexander Sr., 26, at a house party on Rochelle Drive.
Police received several 911 calls about the shooting around 2:30 a.m. Sunday. Investigators said a fight broke out between several people which sparked the shooting.
When police arrived, they found the 26-year-old on the ground and bleeding. Alexander was taken to the hospital where he later died.
Three people have been taken into custody, but have not yet been charged.
An attempt was made to take Mathis into custody at his home but police said he wasn't there.
