Man sought for questioning in East Cleveland home invasion where resident was shot

EAST CLEVELAND - A man is wanted for questioning in connection to a home invasion in East Cleveland earlier this week.

Police said the victim used diversionary tactics to help his family flee during the incident on Hampton Road Tuesday evening. The resident, identified as Jason Smith, was shot and slashed. He was flown to MetroHealth Medical Center.

On Thursday, East Cleveland police released a photo of Turan Baisden, who goes by “Tap.” Officers are asking for assistance locating him for questioning.
