PARMA, Ohio - On Aug. 28, Cuyahoga County Public Library will hold two groundbreaking ceremonies in Parma.
At approximately 11:20 a.m., ground will be broken at the site of the new Parma Branch, located at 6996 Powers Blvd.
The 42,000-square-foot branch will replace the existing Parma-South and Parma-Ridge branches. Construction is set to be completed in fall 2013.
Library officials and invited guests will then board Lolley the Trolley for a second groundbreaking ceremony at approximately 11:40 a.m. at Parma-Snow Branch, located at 2121 Snow Road.
The renovated branch will receive an approximately 30,000-square-foot addition that will include a 400-seat auditorium. The branch is also expected to open in fall 2013.
Both projects are part of Cuyahoga County Public Library's facilities master plan.
