RICHMOND HEIGHTS, Ohio - Firefighters in Richmond Heights battled a large fire at an apartment building Sunday night.
A dispatcher confirmed the fire happened on Chestnut Lane off Chardon Road some time after 5 p.m.
Flames are reported to be shooting from the building.
As of about 6:45 p.m., firefighters said the fire is out and it appears no one was hurt. The fire was outside on a porch and the smoke entered several floors of the building, causing heavy smoke damage.
There's no word yet what caused the fire.
