NORTH ROYALTON, Ohio - There’s an amazing sale on wedding dresses and formal wear for that bride-to-be on your Christmas list at the Images Bridal Store in North Royalton, as the place is going out of business.

Linda DePiero is planning a well-deserved vacation as soon as she closes the doors of her business. She created it 29 years ago after she hand sewed her own dress from fabric and a pattern she bought at a dime store. Her husband was so impressed that he bought Linda a sewing machine. With that, she started Images Bridal and Formal selling dresses for proms, weddings, and balls. She alters and embellishes much of what they sell. She’s proud of what she’s done, but can't find the right person to take over.

"It's hard to run a bridal shop if you cannot tell a person what you can do with the dress and what the dress is going to look like after it's all altered. You just don't sell too many wedding dresses," said Linda DePiero.

Gail, Linda’s daughter, has worked by her side for 21 years. She's proud of her mother but does not want to run the business without her.

"If you can imagine the amount of inventory in this place and just the physical labor involved with running this business, it's pretty high. So I’m cool with it," said Gail DePiero.

They have seen second and third generations return for dresses. One customer even came back for each of her three marriages.

"And she was back again and she’s telling us that she’s getting married again, so we sold her another wedding gown," said Linda DePiero.

Customers have stopped by, surprised that she is closing. Linda’s other daughter, Cathy, who owns the beauty salon next door, plans to expand into the space.

"I think she’s due to do what she wants to do and you can't do that when you have to come to work every day," said Cathy Lehner.

Brides-to-be can certainly find incredible deals here. Images will close its doors for good on December 17. You can get 90 percent off full price and 75 percent off of sale items.

Images Bridal and Formal is located at 11277 State Road in North Royalton, just south of Wallings Road. The store hours are 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
