MAPLE HEIGHTS, Ohio - Maple Heights police and fire crews remain at the scene of a house explosion on Dunham Road.
Crews said it happened in the 6100 block of Dunham Road.
As of 1 p.m., Dunham Road was shut down between Rockside Road and Turney Road.
Employees at Dunham Beverage reported hearing the explosion and seeing flames. Michael, who lives nearby, commented on our Facebook page that the explosion "shook my whole house."
The explosion was so intense that it blew part of a wall onto a neighbor's property. Most of the debris landed on neighboring lawns.
The home was vacant and no one was injured.
Seven neighboring fire departments helped Maple Heights put the flames out.
What caused the explosion remains under investigation.
