BAY VILLAGE , Ohio - A massive storm system finally arrived interrupting a beautiful warm day. Temperatures were above normal which made for a windy day.
With the large trees in Bay Village, it makes for a treacherous situation when the winds pick up. That is just what happened when a branch snapped off and landed on some power lines knocking out power to over 400 households.
"Its a huge inconvenience, you can't cook, you can't do laundry and the kids have home work that they can not get done," said Bay Village resident Nicole Ponyicky.
In Parma, almost 700 residents lost power. At the Red Circle Bar and Lanes Sunday night bowling was canceled due to the power outage . Manager Jim Jarosz said, "The lack of power is huge, bowling draws people into the bar and without that it kills us".
In the greater Cleveland and Akron area over four thousand residents were affected by power outages due to the high winds.
