Fire damages North Royalton home overnight

NORTH ROYALTON, Ohio - Firefighters battled a house fire along Akins Road in North Royalton early Thursday morning.
Crews from North Royalton, Parma and Strongsville fire departments worked to put out the second story fire along the 4800 block of Akins Road.
A man in his 20s and dog living inside the home made it out to safety.
The home was not a total loss.
