53-year-old woman found dead in Maple Heights apartment

MAPLE HEIGHTS, Ohio - A 53-year-old woman was found dead in a Maple Heights apartment after police were called to check on her.
Officers arrived at the Bel Vista Apartments on Clare Avenue just before 3 p.m. Tuesday to check on the resident. Maple Heights police said she had recently died and it is being investigated as a homicide.
The victim’s name has not been released pending family notification.
