SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio - A 50-year-old South Euclid man is charged with disorderly conduct intoxication and more after officers say he ran toward them with a wine glass.
It happened on Sheridan Road Sunday afternoon.
Officers were dispatched to the home minutes before 5 p.m. for a report about an “irate and highly intoxicated man shouting obscenities in his front yard.”
Apparently, police have a long history with the suspect, who also had an outstanding felony warrant issued for his arrest.
When officers arrived, they spotted the suspect screaming and running toward a nearby golf course with a wine glass in hand.
Once they caught up to him, they ordered he stop but said the man refused, continuing to run toward officers.
That’s when an officer used his Taser, which brought the suspect to the ground.
Police have not released the man’s name but said he is behind bars.
