MAPLE HEIGHTS, Ohio - Several Cuyahoga County police departments were on the scene of a shooting in Maple Heights Wednesday afternoon.
The incident happened near Libby Road and South Boulevard, police dispatch said. The crime scene is just more than a mile from a US Bank that was robbed at about 1:10 p.m. Wednesday, but police said they are two separate incidents.
A neighbor who witnessed the shooting said a teen was shot in the abdomen and the gunman took off on foot. Little information has been released by police at this time.
Officers from Cleveland, Bedford Heights and Garfield Heights all responded to the area. Cleveland Det. Jennifer Ciaccia said the fourth district was helping with crowd control.
