Cuyahoga County medical examiner identifies 89-year-old man killed in Rocky River house fire

ROCKY RIVER, Ohio - The man found dead following a Saturday morning house fire in Rocky River has been identified.

According to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office, Robert Eynon, 89, died from smoke inhalation.

The first call for help came into the Rocky River Fire Department around 3:45 a.m. Saturday.

When firefighters arrived to the East Alpine Drive home, it was fully engulfed in flames. It took firefighters about an hour to put out the flames and smoke.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
