CLEVELAND - Cleveland Police arrested a male with a loaded handgun at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.
Thursday around 9 a.m,, a TSA worker called Cleveland Police to respond to an x-ray machine in connection with a gun scanned by a machine.
Officers arrived at the machine and arrested Sean A. McNeeley, 44, of Cleveland, Ohio.
The loaded handgun was located in the male’s carryon bag.
McNeeley was arrested and charged with carrying a concealed weapon and transported to the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport Jail.
McNeeley stated he was headed to Japan to visit his brother for the holiday and forgot to take his handgun out of his carryon bag before entering the airport. Officers confirm that McNeeley did had a valid CCW permit.
Cleveland’s First District Detective Bureau is investigating.
