CLEVELAND - Family and friends of 55-year-old Terrence Smith gathered to remember the man they said would help anybody. Now, Smith's family is begging for your help.

Police said Smith was hit and killed as he crossed West 73rd Street and Denison Avenue early Friday morning. Police said he was hit by a full-sized black vehicle that was traveling on Denison. The driver took off.

On Sunday night, Smith's family and friends gathered for a candlelight vigil at the intersection where Smith was killed.

"I just want somebody who knows something to help me, please. Help me find justice and peace for my father," said Mindy Simecek.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Cleveland Police Department at 216-623-5295.
