CLEVELAND - On Good Friday, churches throughout northeast Ohio will offer services for parishioners to commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
Starting Friday morning at 7:15 a.m., there will be a morning prayer service at St. John's Cathedral in downtown Cleveland.
At noon, the church is holding a special stations of the cross ceremony.
At 3 p.m. Cleveland's Bishop Richard Lennon will then deliver a sermon.
Other church services:
Trinity Cathedral in Cleveland at 2230 Euclid Avenue will offer a noon liturgy where parishioners will recall the story of Jesus' trial and crucifixion.
St. Bartholomew Church at 14865 East Bagley Road in Middleburg Heights will also host a special sermon at noon
The Church of the Covenant in Cleveland at 11205 Euclid Avenue is also offering a noon service with music, meditation and readings.
