AKRON, Ohio - Brecksville bridge bomb plot suspect Joshua Stafford’s pretrial interrogation statements will be thrown out after a hearing Tuesday.
Stafford’s request to have his taped interrogation by FBI agents on April 30 dismissed was approved by Judge David Dowd. The prosecution will not be able to use those statements in their case against the suspect.
One of the reasons it was ordered was because of poor audio quality of the recording.
Stafford is one five Clevelanders who allegedly plotted a plan to bomb the Brecksville-Northfield High Level Bridge on Route 82.
Four of the men have pleaded not guilty and will go on trial in September. Anthony Hayne, 35, of Cleveland, pleaded guilty in July and said he will testify against the other suspects.
