EUCLID, Ohio - A portion of Interstate 90 was closed for several hours Saturday night after a wrong way driver crashed into multiple cars and was killed.

Police said the crash happened around 4:20 p.m. on I-90 westbound near E.152nd street when 86-year-old Stefania Cigale of Cleveland, driving a 2009 Ford Fusion, entered the westbound lanes traveling eastbound at some point between downtown Cleveland and Bratenahl.

The driver struck one vehicle in the city of Bratenahl, continued to travel east and struck three other vehicles. The driver of the wrong way vehicle was severely injured. She was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center by EMS where she later died.

Occupants of the other vehicles were treated and released after visiting area hospitals.

All westbound lanes were closed between E.140th and E.200th streets for several hours.

The crash remains under investigation and there are no names available at this time.
