ROCKY RIVER, Ohio - Two people were injured in a one vehicle crash on Wooster Road in Rocky River early Wednesday morning.

According to Rocky River firefighters, three people were inside the car when it struck a metal traffic signal pole at the intersection of Wooster Road and Parkview Avenue, just after 2:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The driver and front seat passenger were transported to Fairview Hospital with serious injuries. A backseat passenger was uninjured in the crash.

The force of the crash sent all the traffic signals on the pole in different directions and will need to be realigned so drivers can see them properly.

No information was given by Rocky River police indicating why the driver hit the pole or what direction the car was traveling.
